Analysis and Certifications
COA Testing
Certificate of Analysis Testing is mandated by the state of California. Each client's product must be thoroughly tested before distribution and consumer use. Big Valley Analytical COA Testing provides comprehensive analytics to cover all of the potency and safety screenings requirements.
Informational Testing
Informational Testing is used to assess quality control and safety throughout the lifecycle of a product. This test is used for individual evaluation and is not reported to the BCC.

Big Valley Analytical implements the same equipment, procedures, and analytics used with our COA testing but does not entail any of the sampling procedures required under California Industry Testing. The Informational Testing sample size is smaller and does not require a sample pickup.

Benefits of Informational Testing
Informational Testing is useful in a variety of scenarios for growers, distributors, and manufacturers.

Informational Testing can be used 4 weeks into the veg cycle of your lifecycle. We can test for any pesticide residues left over from a mother plant that has been cloned. Ratio tests can be run to determine your THC/CBD ratio and initial terpene profiles to give an idea of end point terpenes on your flowers.
As your plant approaches harvest we can run cannabinoid profiles to determine when optimal harvesting should occur and moisture content analysis to supply additional harvesting data.
Once your plant is harvested, we can test cannabinoid and moisture content to determine proper curing procedures and to establish when cannabinoid levels are at an optimal level.
When your product is dried and cured, Informational Testing can be used as a pre check to ensure there are no vital mistakes or detrimental surprises during final COA testing.
